Bio:
Sarah started skiing at the age of two and by the age of seven she picked up ski jumping. This sport would lead her to two Olympic Games (2014 and 2018) as well as a World Champion and World Cup Overall title. By being the first female to ever ski jump in the Olympics, her passion for equality and perseverance remains a core value in all sports.
Beyond ski jumping, Sarah fell in love with physical activity and the importance of staying fit. Born into an active family, she remains thankful for her opportunities to prioritize exercise in her daily routine. Whether it is skiing, alpine touring, mountain or road biking, yoga, or the gym, there is no doubt she loves to feel strong. Her goal is to show anyone that working out is fun, empowering and worthwhile.
She has worked with juniors in the sport of ski jumping for many years to help them establish good form with fundamental strength principles. Sarah has gone through many knee surgeries as well as a back surgery, therefore understanding the challenges with chronic and acute pain. Her mostly body weight and band resisted exercises are implemented to dial in technique to minimize joint pain, before advancing and putting extra stress on the body.
Sarah is certified in Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR), which takes body weight exercises to a whole new level. A technique used in Japan for decades is gaining popularity in the States because of its overwhelming benefits. BFR slows venous return, which signals a stress response to the brain, the muscle gets fatigued quickly therefore creating a metabolic response within the body. This modality is challenging, yet safe and effective for weight loss, metabolism boost, strength gain and cardiovascular fitness.
